Crabs in a barrel...

I completely disagree with this post. She's talking out of her ass and has no idea what she's saying. Let me break down why in case anyone is confused.

  1. Automation & AI has already replaced millions of jobs around the country and is on it's way to replacing millions of more jobs in the near future. Who do you think is responsible for making the software for automation & AI? The software developer job market isn't going to shrink, it's going to grow and that's where the future is clearly headed.

  2. Job retraining doesn't work. The folks who have had their jobs automated away aren't going to become software developers. Job retraining only has about a 15% success rate. You're most likely going to slide into the software developer industry if you go to college for it and start your career out of school. Don't bullshit around with other jobs...you're just lowering your chances to become a career programmer.
