Creating a new fairy character

I had this concept I came up with when I was a teenager. It's a mix of two concepts: one based on reproduction of Fae based on WW's Changeling: The Dreaming where multiple fae could mate by pushing their energy into an orb together and creating mixes that way, and the other concept was how when you use all your crayons on paper the end colour is black.

The idea was that a long time ago, a bunch of these creatures were made. Their prominent DNA came from Sluagh and Redcaps, so in their natural form their skin was a glossy pitch black, eyes black, bald heads with horns and tusks of different variations, and giant gargoyle-esque wings. They communicated through something like a Pixie's language, which is intention-based gibberish, but it was more guttural and only those of their kind could communicate with the telepathic necessity it took to understand them.

Because they were a mix of so many types of Fae, they were incredibly powerful. Wizards and other Arcane users would hunt them down to use them as batteries for their spells. They were hunted almost to the point of extinction before most of them migrated to an island in the Mediterranean where they were protected by Poseidon. Occasionally, some elected to live among others and would take a more human form, but they were still recognizable because their human form marked them with these raised, scarification type tattoos all over their bodies and naturally bloodshot eyes.

I only played them in RP once and it was a shit show with some half-unicorn, half-vampire, half-stormtrooper type claiming they had lived among them for years and learned the language. Canonically impossible, only others of their kind could communicate in their 'language.'

To be fair, they can seem pretty OP, though most of their inherited abilities countered and then nullified one another, and physically they're made to be more monstrous and grotesque than pretty, with most of them having jagged teeth or tusks based on how much Redcap was in them. Not a lot of people want them in a romance.

I did, however, write a series of short stories about a few of them. Eventually my muse moved on, but idk you asked for unique Fae ideas and that's mine. They eventually evolved to be their own species of Fae, though the world referred to them as [Redacted] Demons because they looked, frankly, demonic. They weren't actually demons and had nothing at all to do with Christian mythos, but it just meant that as the world changed around their island, new humans set out to hunt and kill them all.
