Credit Score & "Neurodiversity"

As far as I know, it’s not possible to get an exception based on a disability (if ADHD even counts in this situation). In another life, I used to be a loan officer. I saw a lot of credit reports that were torpedoed by medical issues and disability. The system isn’t designed to be compassionate or even fair.

Your credit isn’t irrevocably destroyed though. You can try disputing the ISP account directly with the big three credit reporting agencies (TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax). You can find info on that at https://www.annualcreditreport.com. Don’t bother with any 3rd party companies. Even if that doesn’t work, it’ll be less of a factor as the debt ages, assuming it’s not big enough that the ISP tries to garnish your wages. After 7 years without a payment, it’ll fall off your credit report completely.

Maxed out credit cards are a very temporary problem - they only affect you so long as you carry the balance. If you don’t miss payments and can eventually pay it down, the account will go from a negative to a positive pretty quickly.

Hang in there. I know it’s not easy but you can come back from this.
