A lot of votes for SCFCU. Long ago I had savings with them, suddenly they started pinging me with fees to the point my savings was almost gone. I was young and didn’t check the account often since it was supposed to be my college nest egg. I know all banks do this, but I’ve never had a bank not budge on fees. They didn’t remove any of them.

Later, I had to deal with them after my dad passed. Somehow they were allowed to by pass the probate system (the court determines what debts are paid first). They wouldn’t allow me, the estate rep, to close the account since there was a small balance (less than $100) on a connected credit card. The issue was the amount of paper work, stress and crap attitude from the manager. I was lost as this was not how the system works. My attorney finally told me to let them take the balance since it was so small.
