Cricket things that should be left in 2017

I think there can be a place for four day tests and I think it can benefit the struggling or new Test teams in very specific cases.

That Zim lost in two days is neither here nor there - nobody ever expected them to last five days against SA.

So what should CSA do, book a stadium and all the other costs with hosting a game for five days that everyone knew wouldn't happen, and swallow a loss on the costs of the last 2 or 3 days? It's not a prestige series, so gate and broadcast income was never going to be much.

A four day test between a higher ranked host and much lower ranked visiting team can make it more economically viable for the hosts, and provides an opportunity that the visitors would otherwise not have had.
