Criticism as Stormont stalled two years on.

I moved back to NI after living in England and a part of why I did was a real hope for a future in this country. The people are great day to day, living costs are low, house prices low too and wages are good. But since then, the government has collapsed and I've heard many people say things like "Everything is still working, shows we don't need a government". Except there is real hidden damage being done...

An example of this damage is with child mental health. We now know from research now that those with childhood trauma are massively more likely to complete suicide, develop various health conditions etc. The health service has developed a strategy to target the 20% of the population with this trauma and start saving lives. BUT that plan is waiting on a government and the longer people leave it, the more future suicides and deaths we have.

I'd hope by this point, the younger generations would reverse the cycle of inter-generation sectarianism... And parties would be judged more on policy. That isn't the case and instead of blowing each other up, we just snidely attack each other over the internet.
