A criticism of Witcher 3 and the state of story-driven games.

My argument is perfectly logical; you've yet to refute it, for one.

No one is playing dumb. You literally do NOT start the game KNOWING FOR A FACT WHERE CIRI IS. You ONLY have ideas where to look!

The gameplay does not contradict the narrative if it leaves room for an open ended journey, and the fact that the search for Ciri has multiple key destinations is, like I've mentioned before, an outline that does not take into account that Geralt, and by extension the player, do not know all there is to know.

Is there a point where Geralt goes from outline to defined goal? Yes. Is it fair for CDPR to remove the player's freedom to enjoy the game all of a sudden? No. The game achieves a balance between non-linearity and a sensible pace, and to call it a dissonance of any kind is straight-up incorrect.
