Make crunchy taco shells from tortillas with your oven rack

Toast was always such a wonderful thing in my family. I remember sauntering down the stairs after a long slumber to the smell of bread crumbs charring on the floor of my stepmother's toaster oven which she received in a beautifully decorated wedding shower. My father was passionate about bread. He only bought it from the discount overstock store if it had expired within the last day or two. There were days that only pumpernickel or maybe hot dog buns were available but my sister had a way of side slicing them while humming a happy tune and of course we never knew the difference. I hope you enjoy this toast as much as my family and I did with a thin coat of apple butter.

Ingredients 1 slice of bread, preferably flat 1 toaster with electricity

Place bread in toaster and set on dark. Check when ding ding. If too crispy remove to trash can and try again, with lower setting
