To dovetail off what you are saying here, in the leaders debate May said that they wanted a rapid shut down of the Alberta oil sands over the next 10-15 years. I honestly don't see how that it possible on that timeline. Not to mention the sudden loss of what, ~130,000 jobs?... I understand that we need to eventually make the switch from our reliance on fossil fuels, it is a very real and serious global issue, but there is no way that in one decade Canada is going to be at a place where we just don't need oil and gas anymore. Which means we will have crippled our own industry, remove any chance of revenue, and now completely rely on imports from other countries that will still obviously be producing at that time. Dirtier oil from countries with even dirtier environmental records and human rights issues. I agree with the end goal, but I think the timeline needs to be seriously adjusted
