The cul-de-sac has turned Colorado Springs into a transit desert

It's so easy for local media, even liberal, to write sensational articles that makes density and transit seem bad, but so much more difficult to explain the situation from a rational point of view because that requires more thought and explanation than they have space for, so this article is encouraging, and I wish I saw more of this where I live. Just the other day one of the local networks ran a story with a lede like "22 houses on 2 acres(!), find out why neighbors are upset about new x neighborhood development," without any context about how houses around there are all on smaller lots or any of the other issues surrounding why more housing is needed and the benefits of building more densely...
