Thanks for that. I was unaware of that limitation. I feel like that puts an exclamation point on the debunking of this sick fantasy some people on the left have. Unfortunately, it seems to have leaked out of internet forums and gotten a foothold among at least one representative.

FWIW, I am still a registered Democrat. I say that with a degree of reluctance because although, my district has a great track record of nominating moderates that I can vote for in good conscience, the national picture seems less so year after year. The GOP of course is in worse shape, leaving me with the question of whether to "throw my vote away" in some general elections or to contribute to this race to the bottom.
