Right lol , being able to participate in your government via voting is a civic duty and right , owning a gun isn’t a civic duty and right , and if anyone that thinks other wise they should go read the bill of rights , the right to bear arms is supposed to be equal to what the government’s armed forces has . So does that mean everyone gets to have a stealth drones ? Tanks ? The founding fathers couldn’t even conceive the weapons we had today , they wrote the 2nd amendment when the most destructive weapon you could buy was a cannon and the common armament’s people had were fucking muskets . Also I’m pretty sure any sensible government doesn’t think it’s ok to give people convicted of violent crimes weapons that would allow them to commit even more violent crimes once their out of prison.
