Curfew violation added to the list of charges against Kyle Rittenhouse

This. The 948.60(3)(c) exemption can be read as:

16 and 17 year olds can only be charged under this section if they: (1) possess a short-barrel shotgun; (2) is not in violation of regulations for minors under 16; or (3) is not hunting without a license.

I don't see how any of these would "exempt" the exemption such that the State could succeed on this charge. (1) doesn't apply because Rittenhouse did not possess a SBS. (2) doesn't apply because Rittenhouse was 17. (3) doesn't apply because Rittenhouse wasn't hunting—I'm not sure where we could infer that all rifle possession by a 17 y.o. minor must be in the context of hunting, or that the 948.60(3)(c) exemption only applies to hunting-related possession.
