Sorry to be THAT person, but anatomically modern humans have only existed for about 20,000 years. Comparing the Industrial Revolution's "accomplishments" to the entire evolution of modern humans & their ancestors is like comparing apples to oranges. The I.R. simply revolutionized the way we utilize & manipulate natural resources in a way that was much more convenient for the large populations living in or around cities. Over the past 20,000 years, anatomically modern humans have literally set the foundation for every major accomplishment that mankind has ever created. Seems very shortsighted to say that the I.R. is more of an accomplishment than creating the basis for all modern humankind.
