Current software devs, do you realize how much discontent you're causing in other white collar fields?

Already aware of it, back in the day when I took CS it was still a popular major but my brother is now in the same college and they have literal wait lists and GPA cut offs to apply for the major now cause so many people are switching to it. Anyway I’m the least gate keepy person ever so I actually love it, more competition means better quality engineers to work with and better software overall and I love competing. I kid you not I almost felt guilty for getting such a well paying job almost too easily where as people in medicine, big law, and traditional engineering disciplines work way harder than me and sometimes don’t even make as much. Other fields need to learn to pay more and have better perks so everyone coming to CS will incentivize that.

I realize that this means for the near future this works against me and those already in CS since it’s already saturated and about to get even way more so but it was bound to happen and there’s nothing we can do about, especially when everyone else is being priced out because other careers are just too far behind in terms of return on investment.
