Currently making ~$90k around Boston and offered an interview for “90-100k” in Tampa. Question
Previous company office is in Northshore Boston area. Other office is in Tampa. Made countless trips there. Perhaps some unpopular opinions here, but just my experiences.
Boston Vs Tampa
Do you like money or culture.
Do you like chain food or multi-cultural food.
Cop country vs Cop friendly
High Crime or lower crime
Driving vs public transit
Humidity vs Seasons
Less skilled opportunity vs more skilled opportunity (I know people hate this idea, but really, the jobs are not as dense in skillset in Tampa. I have to hire some serious clunkers to get work done, and the wages reflect that. Here, skillset is always available, and can be charged at a premium.
