Cutting on soylent: How do you deal with hunger?

Something I like to do when I am losing weight (whether with Soylent or without, I lost about 60lbs before finding Soylent) is to just constantly remind myself of my motivations when I am feeling hungry. Like, "I want to lose weight so that I will feel better, look better, so I can go out and do _, _, and _, and because of __... and in order to get all those things, all I have to put up with is... feeling slightly hungry for a while?" It's an easy tradeoff when you think of it that way. Alternatively, if you look at it in a similar way but focusing on negatives instead of positives (hey, some people are more pessimistic than optimistic, it works!), then you could alternatively think: "I can either be unhealthy, feel sick, be at higher risk of diseases, cutting off years of my lifespan... or I can just feel kind of hungry for a little bit" Again, very easy decision when you look at it logically. Of course, it can be hard to use logic in cases like this where your body is telling you stuff that contradicts your logic. In fact, I think it is almost impossible to have the will power from logic alone. Which is why another good piece of advice is, when you feel this way, take your mind off it by doing something you enjoy. Reading, video games, music, tv, posting on reddit, etc. Whatever are the things in life that you feel passionate about and enjoy doing, remind yourself of those things, which will help you with motivation.
