Cyberpunk 2077 isn't an RPG anymore, despite the massive marketing of the past few years, interviews, and the description on twitter. Even the description of this r/cyberpunkgame says "is a RELEASED "ROLE PLAYING" video game... That's really misleading.

Hey man, maybe you shouldn't insult my intelligence when you couldn't even read my comment correctly. I said that cyberpunk is an rpg beacuse of its similarities with fallout and skyrim. People keep claiming this game isn't an Rpg but not a single person has given my any reason why it isnt, despite its role playing mechanics, just beacuse CDPR changed some text on their Twitter header. If rockstar said red dead 2 was a puzzle game in its marketing does that suddenly make it one? I'm not defending this decision beacuse i still think its scummy to advertise a game as something that it's not,but this discussion makes no sense. And yeah RPGs are popular among gamers, but to the general casual audience they aren't. I have multiple friends who only ever play Gta,Madden,or cod,and anytime they hear the term Rpg,they immediately assume it's something turn based like final fantasy. Casual gamers wanted to play this game beacuse they wanted future gta,and they capitalised on that in the marketing by demphasizing the rpg mechanics.
