Dad asked to leave the labour room for making a 'joke'

Before everyone dogpiles the dad for his "joke", it's not about whether you think it's funny. What matters is whether or not his wife thought it was, which she seems to have done. That nurse had no right to throw him out if his wife was fine with the situation. Why didn't wifey stick up for her husband? If she didn't because she just had a baby and was too exhausted, that's understandable. Did the wife ask the nurse to throw him out? It doesn't appear so from the inromation provided. Was the new dad making it physically difficult for Nurse to do her job? It doesn't appear so from the information provided. If someone tried to throw my husband out of the birthing room without my approval/consent, I'd be fucking pissed.
