Dadless soon-to-be bride

My dad hasn't been in the picture. But I have my grandma's cousin who's always been like a grandpa to me. Hes unfortunately been in the hospital for the past 5 weeks and I've been inconsolable. One as he is the only man to truly have been there for me. And another reason he was supposed to walk me down the aisle and be the father daughter dance. It feels like being a covid bride is one never ending disappointment after another. And I truly just wanted to feel like a normal and traditional bride and have a normal moment. So I get why you'd want him there. But I think you more want the experience of a loving and caring father there which isn't a reality for you. And I'm sorry for that!
