DAE feel like we have no effective counter to the argument of "we can't afford it as a country", austerity forever etc. ?

I was strictly speaking about the revenue generated by the Crown Estate, which I already said that it needs to be seized, I didn't even mention tourism because it's a myth

The Crown Estate is ran by the government because it was given to them in exchange for what is now the sovereign grant act 2011 which is the money the Royal family gets from the taxpayer. The crown estate generated £300m last year in revenue and during that same year the Royal family cost the taxpayer £100m, you said edit to add stats but you didn't so idk what numbers you're working with.

If we abolish the Royal family without seizing the Crown Estate then the tax payer will by these numbers be worse off
