DAE not find value in their life as a human being?

I was never someone who aspired to be anything. My guidance counselor seemed quite concerned when she asked me what I wanted to do for a living and where I wanted to be. I answered honestly, "nothing." I can't speak for everyone because a lot of people have ambition and drive to succeed and get to the next level, but I always viewed work as drudgery and glorified slavery in the sense that many people don't make a livable wage. It's just something you do if you don't want to be homeless but it's not a guarantee that you won't be homeless either. Lots of homeless people have jobs. There's a line from the movie They Live that said it best, "The whole deal is like some kind of crazy game. They put you at the starting line, and the name of the game is make it through life. Only, everyone's out for themselves and looking to do you in at the same time. Okay, man here we are. You do what you can, but remember, I'm going to do my best to blow your ass away."
