DAE think it's in poor taste when families expose a loved one's personal struggles after they die?

My cousin was a very vulnerable person who we all suspect had bipolar disorder. She got involved with a gang member who took advantage of her and got her addicted to meth. After she killed herself her mother spent quite a lot of time campaigning to have the government take the meth crisis in our country more seriously. It helped her with her grief to try to seek justice for her daughter, and I know my cousin would have been proud of her for turning her pain into something productive. The police tried to brush a lot of what happened under the rug because they are scared of these gangs, her mother was incredibly brave trying to expose them in the media, the gang even knew where she lived
