I think the issue becomes "trees don't grow to the Moon." There is the idea that something can be a very good long-term theme but with hype comes the ability for something to get vastly ahead of itself in the short-term.

In other words, there is the possibility of being directionally long-term right in a theme and also being a bagholder for a long period if you buy the hype of 5 years from now today and things come back towards reality.

Deciding how much the stock is ahead of itself after the hype surrounding anything EV-related is up to you, but after that sort of a run I'd take at least some off the table.
