Trigger warning: I'm out.

I went in today at 10 weeks on the dot thinking I would just do a swab for unusual discharge - doctor offered to do an ultrasound as well and found a fetus measuring 9w1d but no heartbeat. Sent me home with materials to help gather tissue for genetic testing (at my request). I know statistically speaking a miscarriage at this stage means the fetus likely had chromosomal issues incompatible with life, and I'm hoping the genetic testing will confirm that. Here's hoping I'll be luckier next time.

It was wonderful being with you all, even for a short time. I know these posts are scary to some, but believe me when I say that what happened to me is unlikely to happen to you. I just had bad luck this time. I wish you all the absolute best, looking forward to joining another bump group for the long haul one day!
