I've been talking with some close friends about us TTC and it's been very encouraging. One of my friends said it took her 15 months to get pregnant with her first and then, with their second, it happened right away. Another friend, who has five kids, had the most trouble with their second for whatever reason.

It seems like rolling dice. You can get unlucky several months in a row for no reason at all.

Anyway, I appreciate women who are willing to be open about stuff like this. The couples who get pregnant right away sometimes let that fact be known, but the couples who try for a while usually don't really advertise that fact. I think this tendency offers a disproportionate view of the reality of TTC.
