I'm your age and have been in the field about 2.5 years, went back for a second degree in CS in 2014. Things are great and I have no regrets. I picked up a software development internship and rolled over into fulltime after I graduated. I'm not making a crazy salary (at least compared to some of the reports here) but I'm making high five figures which is literally $50k+ more a year than I was in my previous career, I can and do save a good chunk of money for retirement in addition to aggressively paying down my debt. Once I'm debt free, I don't even know what I'll do with all the money I'm throwing at it now. I'm sure there are workplaces where I wouldn't fit in, but overall the reception to my applications/interviews has been positive. You've got this!
