I'm a junior just starting out. I had applied for a graduate position in a small but well established company. First round was online assessment. I did well (my opinion).

The second was a non technical phone interview. It was supposed to be 30-40 mins long but mine ended in about 20 mins. The interviewer started off with questions like, have you applied to other companies. If you get an offer from us, will you accept. What salary are you expecting etc.

Then she asked a few behaviour questions and she seemed quite impressed by my answers.

Got selected for the next round. But what stuck me strange was the fact I was asked about my application to other companies and if I will take an offer if I got! Are these questions common? What's the best way to answer them?
