Here is my story from last Sunday. It was getting late while I was flying around and I was getting ready for bed. I scoped a 150 Rhino which I didn't really need but I was like ahhh fuck it, I might as well tame it since it is double taming (I play on official). So I swing down on my quetz and begin to shoot it. I though I was out of reach but my quetz gets drilled by the Rhino, in turn knocking me off the platform saddle to the ground. This thing hammers me a couple of times and I try to evade it while calling my quetz over. I thankfully carry medical brews with me and that is the only reason I was able to survive as the Rhino hits pretty hard. I manage to get back on my quetz and tranq the thing. I proceed to spike it off and head back to base to get narcs and kibble. I get everything ready and decide to take a pteronadon over to keep it knocked out as its topor timer is only 32 minutes and it takes 52 to tame. I get back to the Rhino tame site and proceed to put narcs into the Rhino. Being late and tired I start pumping the narqs into the Rhino except that I am tired and do it in my own inventory. I have no stims and I pumped about ten narcs and know what is about to happen, so I quickly do as many into the rhino before I pass out. Once I hit the ground an argy decides to agro on me since I am now passed out. My bird was on neutral so it ends up fighting the argy going up into the sky while all I can do is lay on the ground unconscious. I finally wake up without getting killed and luckily one of friends was on. He came with a quetz and helped me get my bird back. I put the kibble in and unfortunately my bird must have hit the Rhino taking its taming efficiency way down. I let it wake up and try knocking it out again but ended up killing it as it's health got low from hitting my spikes haha. This all worked out in the end though because when I flew up to leave the jinxed Rhino zone I scoped the first argy I saw up the hill and it was a 150 female and still double tame. I kited that thing home and tamed it.
TLDR: Rhino tame went horribly wrong but found a 150 argy shortly after. 10/10 would tame a Rhino again.
