DAILY COVID-19 MEGATHREAD - June 03, 2020

Don't go to a school you can't afford. My school (the same aforementioned one that my friend went to) had a significant amount of grants.

My family is firmly middle class (a little less than 6 figures gross income for the household at the time, both parents working) and about half my tuition was covered with grants and other subsidies.

Another private school I got into had even better financial aid but it was a small liberal arts college so I ended up forgoing that. And the state schools would have cost just a couple of thousand per semester. Several of my friends went to CUNY honors and didn't pay a penny.

So what I'm saying is that if you really grew up in a trailer park, either you picked a school you couldn't afford (which is your fault), or you're lying out of your ass about having 100k in debt. Either way, seems like a personal problem.
