He is considered a "potential replacement" yes but hasn't replaced anyone yet still. And yes, he has a long, long, long way to go to even come close to what Mane and Bobby did, let alone Salah. He has the potential for sure, but you don't know what will happen. Some people said the same thing about Minamino when he first joined and look at what happened.

And yes, Salah brings a lot of attention (not saying that Liverpool isn't big enough to do so). My point is that you would be surprised of how many people, especially in the muslim/Arab world, started watching Liverpool week in and week out because of him. I know people literally have nothing to do with Liverpool. They watch Every. Single. Game. cause of him and order shirts and merchandise. The guy is THAT popular in other parts of the world, where Real and Barca dominated the Market in terms of fan basess and commercialy, and no one cared to look beyond these two, but Salah brought Liverpool to the table, and now the club becoming as big of a name in that region. So yes, he's bringing so much money to the club than you think.

If FSG shows you the impact Salah has on the commercial revenue, you would spit on them and give Mo the contract he wants to sign.

And I don't care who you pick. I rate VVD as highly as Mo, but I think Mo offered more to the club all these years since VVD was out an entire season. While Salah stayed the clubs top scorer since he joined, and arguably in the top 3 best players every season + breaking club records in every way. It's honestly baffling how some of you swallowed what FSG wanted which is the fear of "breaking the structure" and becoming like Barca, when it's only Mo asking to get paid what he's worth for his last big contract, just like all top players in the world. I think it's fair, and Liverpool ignoring this is a bad look and embarrassing.
