I'd wait until SoO drops fully and then see what interests you until Autumn when we'll hopefully have a significant content drop.

Black Armoury has a really fun raid and a few great weapons and exotics to look out for too (BA pulse and machine guns are a must-have).

Joker's Wild doesn't offer much unless you enjoy gambit. The armour is only useful in gambit and the weapons are far too rare to even bother trying to farm. Reckoning is jut another glorified horde mode.

Season of opulence will have a new raid, a new 6-man matchmade activity which is probably centered around the leviathan and calus is the one that organises it. (probably yet another horde mode)
