Gotta vent, but I hate how I give all my time into beta reading stories for people in my online writing group (some for fandoms that I don’t even follow), only to get crickets from those same writers whenever I share works of my own. I can’t tell if I’ve offended them, or if they’re busy, or just don’t know how to give me good feedback, but considering the time I’ve spent looking over their stories and giving them honest criticism, I can’t help but feel like I’m being used in someways.

I think I’m going to distance myself from that group for a while and start sending my work to a close beta, since open editing isn’t really getting anywhere with them, and I’m tired of always giving and never getting anything back.
