There is a peculiar feeling with (mostly) PL clubs. It is an implicit assumption that if a club is to have any success, they have to spend in the transfer market. While England has a poor record of developing players in top flight, but it is remarkable that no one is looking at youth players, or wanting to promote internally, except...... Man City.

This is when they have deployed their scouts to get the best youngsters from all over Europe over the last ten years and fill their academy. Remember when a particular coach was complaining that because of the Brexit, they can't sign players who are under 18. Where are these players? Are they just good enough to go on loan?
