Outliers affect it too heavily otherwise. By adding more information, such as clean sheets, you can get a much clearer and better picture.

In Uniteds case you can see that they have a rather high xGA and a lot of clean sheets. This can lead you to believe they had some really bad performances but generally have a stellar defense. Now when you look further you can see that at the start of the season they were conceding xGA out the ass, but in the last 10 games only 2 opponents has more than 1xGA. Showing the great clean sheet Performances they have had.
