This is bullshit. There’s a difference between issues that are deep rooted in world economic and commercial systems and issues with states. Fact is that the wealth of these families in Qatar is much more connected to state power than the wealth of the companies and people being linked to us otherwise. And Qatari state power is extremely problematic for people who value rights, equality, liberties etc.

That our global economic system is full of injustices is one thing, it’s the not the same as having a state funnel the vast majority of profits from selling a natural resource to a few families. A cringelord who sells cars or a British chemical company is very different to Qatari oligarchs.
