Michael Laudrup was the more influential one of the two in the end as his club career was miles ahead of his brother's, he was a world class player who inspired the likes of Iniesta and David Silva. His mentality was always a bit of a problem though, when the going got tough he wouldn't be the one to drag his team out of it, and he needed hardworking players around him to compensate for his lack of work rate.

Brian Laudrup was more of a classic centerforward, so they were very different players in the end. Brian enjoyed a better career with the national team, he went on to become instrumental in Denmark's Euro success in 92 by putting his ego aside and developed a work ethic that was much superior to his brother's. His club career never really lived up to his talent though, in the end he's most fondly remembered at Rangers as Scotland was the only place he really thrived, and he refused to move away from there despite big offers from England as his family was settled.

As far as pure talent Michael Laudrup was better, but not by as much as their club careers would suggest. Brian is however more fondly remembered by many Danes because of his success for the national team, Michael never did as well on that front because of his poor work rate and upon his return he became more of a problem for the team than a benefit as he just didn't fit into Richard Møller Nielsen's philsophy.
