There's nothing in the articles about a rape kit, a medical exam yes but no rape kit.

She wanted to press charges but was told that she wouldn't likely get a guilty verdict.

This makes no sense to me. If she had a rape kit done then there would have been enough evidence to press charges with her friend corroborating her story and then they could have continued to try and match the DNA taken with Ronaldo's for a conviction.

And in terms of the current climate that's kind of what I'm saying, it seems opportunist that she already signed a settlement, received money and now in the current climate is coming out again to seek more.

The entire article just seems to...convenient. A medical professional told you not to tell the authorities about a rape? A cop told you the same?

She went there because she got raped, and every professional she ran into said "nah you're going to look bad sorry can't do it, it's just a little rape you'll be fine". I don't believe it.
