How does Kluivert deserve a place over Promes? Promes may not have been impressive, but he had a decent first season at Sevilla and was quite important for them in some crucial moments. He was also played as a back in Sevilla, bot his preferred position. I think he links up well with Depay. Babel should not be played anymore. I hope Koeman will go forwards with: Bergwijn - Depay - Promes. Promes does more defensive work than Babel as well.

Ignoring the Sparta fanboy inside of me, Strootman has no place in the national team anymore, you're right about that. I also think Van de Beek should be in the starting XI, De Roon is just not what we should be looking for in the future.

That does leave the midfield a little on the offensive side, but Wijnaldum, Frenkie and Van de Beek are the best we have right now and all three 3 have high workrates. I could see it work in a 4-2-3-1 formation myself, with Gini and Frenkie behind Van de Beek. Not playing all 3 of them would be unacceptable.
