the quality of the sport is terrible in the MLS, you barely see 5 passes strung together, it's definitely getting a lot better tho recently, there's a good chance MLS actually becomes good tbh. your question was why do Americans choose to support European teams INSTEAD of following local teams, like what? DC United? NYCFC? NY Redbulls? i'd much rather watch something globally followed, it's more interesting, there's more at stake and i believe the idea that you are geographically limited to have choices in ACTUALLY supporting is bullshit, it's up to the person and the majority would prefer to watch a La Liga or EPL game than see LigaMX rejects go up against each other in the MLS (this was in the past tho)
