I think it's going to be a bit chaotic around the US once we start seeing a decline in new cases and some states will end up loosening up a little bit while others keep a strict quarantine in place. I don't see New York being even remotely close to lifting most restrictions any time soon. Here in Michigan I could see it extending towards the end of May or start of June.

I think things will return in waves. Smaller businesses that operate with small crews will open back up but be required to wear masks while they work. Restaurants might start allowing dine in with significantly reduced capacity. Smaller scale manufacturing starting back up. I work for an automotive supplier for a small to mid sized plant. If my plant is even around when restrictions are first lifted, I doubt they will open their doors until automotive production starts up again, and I don't see that happening at a pre-corona level any time soon.
