Can I still get stronger while cutting?

Can I still get stronger?

I am 5.65 ft tall and 165 lb right now. I just started lifting a few weeks ago and about a week ago I started counting my calories. My maintenance calories according to the IILYM calculator is 2027 calories per day. However last year when i was around 140 lb i had a six pack but I was having trouble getting stronger, probably because I was eating in a deficit and healthy foods. The past few months I have been eating too much and weigh 165 without having as much definition on my body. So my question, is it possible for me to stay at 165 and lean out my body? I dont like not having abs but my lifts have been increasing because of eating 2027 calories a day and Im just afraid to lose strength.
