I am so cheap! I got upsold on glasses when I got my eye exam. The lady pulled out like 10 frames and the last one did feel the best and she's like "you look great in those" and I'm just clueless when it comes to eye insurance and what it covers so I'm like yeah whatever let's go with those. Then she said we can add blue light blocking and I'm thinking, yeah I am on the computer all day at work and on my phone/TV etc., sure why not.

She said it'd come out to $239 but retail is $750. But she said insurance may not accept it so she has to put the order through (inducing scarcity). So I'm like wow, I hope it's approved, sure, here's my Credit Card. She shared it'd only be charged if insurance accepted it and I would pay at most $239 not $750.

I tell my colleague and he's like you could've got classes through VSP (our eye insurance provider) and it's way cheaper, maybe $40-100. He even suggested I cancel and re-order...but I can't be bothered.

A part of me feels like an idiot and I complained to my Mom and she's like you're just going to die with excess anyway. With the market recovering temporarily, my $ from Monday to Wed jumped up 30k.

Am I going crazy? The principle of it makes me a little bothered but mathematically and objectively, it's whatever. It's glasses for my eye health and I already pay taxes and etc. to live.
