I want to expand a little on a comment I made down below as to why Evergrande will not be crashing tomorrow (which is already today in China I guess).

Yes, the owe 300B which is quite a hefty amount, but today is only "interest pay day", which amounts to 83.5M. The problem the company is having is lack of liquidity (for those who don't know what this is, they have a shitton of investements in which they haven't capitulated, so they don't have so much fiat at hand), but they are already offering real estate to their investors as means of payment. How many millionares/billionares do you know that would turn down the opportunity of receiving real estate instead of cash so they don't have to pay taxes on it?

In the mid/long term however, this could be a problem, they can only pay up with real estate so much untill the day comes where they can't, but that day will not be today.

Now, if a real estate monster of the most populated country in the world can't come up with 83.5M in real estate (which would be surprising), then we're all in for an interesting ride.
