[Daily Goal] - Break Day 3, April 3

Damn, I've been absent here this week.

I forgot to recap my own Sprint 2 Goals on my own post.

I'll go over it now.

  • Met my Sprint 2 weight goal. Consistently weighed in at 170lbs over the past week.
  • Lifted weights at least 3x a week (crossfit) and have definitely put on muscle. Can see a lot of positive progress in the mirror/progress photos. My body is finally changing to where I want it to be, which has been awesome.
  • Ate really well throughout the sprint.
  • Have stuck to not drinking during the week, enjoying my beers only 2 nights a week.
  • Studying has been on and off. Made progress, but did not finish up all lectures. I hope to have those done by Monday.
  • I also started studying a completely different topic - not work related this time - and it's been a lot of fun and sort of has me re-evaluating how I should be studied work related stuff (which is a lot more dry, and thus harder to get me to put all my time into).
  • continue to runstreak. Though in the past month, I've finally started to question the sustainability of this.

I forget what other goals I have, but mainly health/fitness & study/career stuff.

this past week

  • Past week has been good, bounced back quickly after a weekend of over indulgence.
  • I'm making really good progress in lifting/crossfit, able to push myself more. I really have a terrible squat which means I can't go heavy on a lot of lifts, but I'll get there. It's better to stay light and get the form down so I don't hurt myself.
  • got my runs in, nothing great. my body is always sore and I dont get my runs in til about 8:15PM on weeknights now so I just want to get them over with, so I can eat dinner and then have like 30 minutes to unwind before I start getting anxious about getting to bed too late. Starting to re-think my #runstreak and maybe see if there's a stopping point in the future. I dont know. I really struggle with this - the idea of stopping. I know that itd be healthy too, give my body proper time to rest, days I can focus on working out, days I can focus on a good run. but the mental struggle of actually stopping the run streak that's defined my days for the past 2.3 years. Maybe I'll try to make it to 1000 and stop, but even that's months and months away (821 right now)
  • a lot of studying this week. need to figure out a plan to manage the 2 courses I plan to study now.

today

  • study a bit before work
  • work
  • gym/run
  • FRIDAY! DINNER! BEER!

this weekend

  • study
  • run
  • dont eat too terribly
