Daily Megathread - 11/05/2022

Gave away everything to academies who drive it for profit, they sold off a lot of land and centralised services rather than depend on local community.

Teachers are becoming more disillusioned with the work. Some are leaving, less are taking up the career path. Instiutionalision is setting in where new starters are happy to work to targets. Less child focussed. Executive teams think they are senior management teams of a corporation and head teacher role has turned into one of ensuring compliance to the numbers.

Still some amazing people in education, but every person I have spoken to recently doesn't like their current situation - I'd love to speak with someone who does.
