Yesterday I was the baduk.

I've avoided Wetherspoon's for a while except in circumstances where I'm probably a few pints under. Not sure why, probably a bit of inbuilt snobbery.

Yesterday in a new place and starving we saw one, thought we'd give it a go and I was so impressed. An app that works flawlessly and easily, competitively priced food that somehow includes an alcoholic drink with it, a good cross section of age, demographics and type of people.

They even have everything from a full English to a vegan breakfast and I ended up with a sourdough pizza. Don't get me wrong it won't win awards but it was more than half decent.

The snobbery is unfounded and actually it's a solid British institution operating remarkably well
