I recently purchased an AllSaints leather jacket on sale and it smells horrible. It doesn’t smell like a new leather jacket at all, it’s just this pungent that I assume is from the treatment. I could smell the crazy smell coming from the jacket when it was still in its delivery box from UPS. I’ve hung it up and have been airing it out for weeks, and while the smell has definitely reduced, it still stinks up the entire room it’s in. At first it was so pungent that I could smell it from the hallway while it was in my closet with the door closed. It’s dissipating a little bit it’s still sticking up my closet. Does anyone have any experience with this?
