Borrowing the thread. I don't really "dress to impress" but rather having my own style that I put time and effort into is what I like, it's like a hobby of mine. With that being said, I don't hate when people comment on my clothes and taste in general, at all. It means a lot when someone says "man those jeans look really nice" or "your style is amazing". My girlfriend always complements my clothes and that's important to me as well. I want to look good in her eyes as well.

I used to look in the mirror and, while thinking I was pretty good looking, always disliked the way my clothes looked on me. I simply chose the wrong clothes that had a poor fit on me. I started to dig into other styles and found my likes in workwear and Americana inspired brands and now I finally feel like my clothes look rich on me. It's an amazing feeling to see yourself in a full-body mirror at a store or whatever, and think "I really like how I dress nowadays" instead of "I look nothing like I picture myself... I look way worse".

I was always interested in clothes and fabrics and such, I don't think you can force yourself to love it. It just have to come naturally.

You have to get dressed every day, why not use clothes that make you feel really good? :D
