I have a weird problem dropping money on purses and handbags. I'm not sure why that is. I'm comfortable spending like $200 or more a piece on many clothing items - silk blouses, dresses, cashmere sweaters, jeans, but when it comes to a new purse, I'm like... "but really, is more than $100 necessary?" I know it's irrational in many respects, since more goes into a leather purse often times than say... FRAME jeans. And I feel like my style is really being cramped by my narrow minded view regarding purses and handbags.

It might be because I grew up in a country with a HUGE counterfeit market. It could also be because growing up my mom never used anything except her totally functional cloth tote. Whatever it is, I'm curious how people here do their clothing vs. bags spending ratio
